Where there is love, there is happiness

Where there is love, there is happiness

At the beginning, there lived on Earth sferical androgynous beings made of a male and a female stuck back to back. Their power was unique and untouchable. The Gods were afraid of that power and decided to separate them. The two separated halves, the new beings, missing each other, started to die because of sadness. Seeing that they were remaining without followers, the Gods searched for a method to give the new people a reason to live. For that reason Eros was created, to spread love in the world. Since then, the two halves have been searching each other all of their life and if they find their pair, they form the perfect being from the beginning. Under the face of a beautiful child, sometimes a winged child, a fearsome god was hiding. With his arrows, which never missed their target, Eros or Cupid, spread love among Gods and mortals.

I truly belive that you find someone who can completely turn your world around only once in your life. You tell them things that you have never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. With that person, you share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can’t wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share your excitement. They build you up and show you things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful.

And that means happiness to me. As this quote says, ”Where there is love, there is happiness”.

When you love, you’re alive. We all want to be loved and love, too. I think that happiness depends on love, which is the only way human beings can fulfil themselves.  Love makes us strong and forgiving.   It can cure our hearts if they are broken and defeats wickedness.

When you love, you can suffer. Where there is true love, there is suffering too. In reality, the things are not like in fairy tales.   For example, the person who you love and see as perfect today may not be the same person tomorrow.

But beyond any risks, we should love and feel that beautiful feeling. And if we will suffer, this will makes us stronger. Suffering   is a normal thing.

The word “love” can express many things.

On the one hand, love is a feeling that you have for someone or something. Love and happiness are closely linked to each other. If you love, then you are happy.

On the other hand, love can be considered passion, too. For example, some people love to travel or to do sport; someone’s passion can be football, music or photography. These passions bring us happiness; when you do something that you like, you are in seventh heaven.

So, where there is love there is happiness, whatever the thing or person that makes you feel this wonderful feeling. To be happy means to love and live. Be yourself and you can do it all.

Where there is love there is happiness

It’s true, we all need love, because it goes hand in hand with happiness, it’s the recipe of happiness. We can find happiness in every little thing of our everyday life: family, friends, job, hobbies … in every little thing. Those small things made with ardent love are the most important. But sometimes we can’t be joyful, because it’s not so simple to love. Where there is love there is suffering and sacrifice. Still, no matter how many drops of pain you might have in your coffee, there are always much more cups of happiness.  I confess that I don’t love like I should, because if I did so I would enjoy everything, like a child, and all I do would be in peace.

The best words I know about love are some that I found in the Bible: “Love is patient, love is kind… It always protects, always trusts, always hope…”. We all need to be patient, kind; we all need protection, trust and hope. We can’t find our way to happiness without them. How do I know I have love? Someone once told me: “Do a test: if you can replace “Love” with your name (Am I patient? Am I kind? Am I not envious? …) and if the result is correct, then you have love”.

There are many quotes about love that great people wrote. There are some things that they understood, better said, they lived. I remember a few words from a book: ”What makes the difference between people, Father?”  “Love!” So the way we love defines us.

Finally, I think that “If I don’t have love, I’m nothing”.
